Bank of Baroda ended chief digital officer's contract: CEO

Bank of Baroda's chief digital officer, Akhil Handa, recently left the bank due to actions taken in compliance with RBI directives. The RBI had asked the bank to stop adding customers to its bob World app after irregularities were found in customer onboarding. The bank had previously been accused of onboarding customers using third-party mobile numbers. Bank of Baroda's MD & CEO, Debadatta Chand, stated that actions have been taken against a group of people at various levels within the bank.
