United States claims Google pays more than $10 billion a year to maintain its search dominance

The Department of Justice has accused Google of using its dominant position in the internet search market to stifle competition and innovation. The antitrust trial, the largest in the US in 25 years, will determine whether Google rigged the market in its favor by making its search engine the default choice on various devices and platforms.
